Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Zentriq, PunchOut, Document Capture, and Business Central integration.

General

What is Zentriq?

Zentriq provides AI-powered procurement tools for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Three products: PunchOut (cart capture from any supplier website), Agent (AI assistant for BC), and Document Capture (invoice processing with AI).

Who is Zentriq for?

Procurement teams, AP departments, and finance managers using Business Central. Works for any company size — from 1-person shops to mid-market enterprises.

What version of Business Central does Zentriq support?

Zentriq works with Business Central Online (SaaS). It supports both Essentials and Premium licenses.

Is Zentriq available outside Switzerland?

Yes. Zentriq works with any Business Central environment worldwide. It supports multiple currencies and languages.

How is Zentriq different from Microsoft Copilot for BC?

Copilot is a general-purpose AI assistant. Zentriq is purpose-built for procurement: it can create POs, process invoices, and capture supplier carts — capabilities Copilot doesn’t have.

PunchOut

How does PunchOut work?

Install the Chrome extension, browse any supplier website, fill your cart, click the Zentriq icon. AI reads the cart page and extracts all products, SKUs, quantities, and prices. Data is sent to BC as Requisition Worksheet lines.

Which suppliers does PunchOut work with?

Any supplier with an e-commerce website. No EDI, cXML, or supplier cooperation needed. Popular suppliers include Galaxus, Amazon Business, Distrelec, RS Components, Würth, and 30+ others.

Does the supplier need to set anything up?

No. Suppliers don’t know you’re using Zentriq. PunchOut reads the public cart page — no API access or integration required.

What data does PunchOut capture?

Product name, SKU/article number, quantity, unit price, currency, and total. It also auto-detects the vendor from the website URL.

Can PunchOut create Purchase Orders directly?

PunchOut creates Requisition Worksheet lines. You then use BC’s native “Carry Out Action Messages” to convert them into Purchase Orders — giving you a review step before committing.

Document Capture

How does Document Capture process invoices?

Upload a PDF or photo to the Agent chat. AI extracts vendor, invoice number, dates, line items, quantities, prices, tax, and totals. It creates a Purchase Invoice draft in BC.

What invoice formats are supported?

PDF, JPEG, PNG. The AI reads any layout — no templates to configure. Works with invoices in any European language.

How accurate is the extraction?

AI achieves 95%+ accuracy on structured invoices. Every extracted field is shown for your review before creating the BC record.

Can it match invoices to existing POs?

Yes. If the invoice contains a PO number, the Agent matches it against existing Purchase Orders in BC and flags any quantity or price discrepancies.

Is my invoice data secure?

Yes. Documents are processed via encrypted channels and are not stored after processing. Zentriq uses OAuth 2.0 delegated access — it inherits your BC permissions.
